It was well written, although the the word choice was off in my opinion. Too childish, maybe? Too simple, words aren't descriptive enough for me.

Still, it's good.

Bad review

I agree with amlt, even though my reveiwer wasn't any better. But convrats acr anyways

Congratz ACR

I thought the review was pretty good, especially the last stanza/paragraph.

This review...

is beautiful.
Doors open; floor guards whiz past you; don't stop running.
Great review...

AMLT it says plenty about the map. Its just poetic.

Sexy

awww

It was the fifth where I was. How was the review, though?

I wanted to win this reveiwer spot so bad, but I guess I'll just have to give it my best shot next time another reveiwer opportunity comes around.
:(

Fun, Fun, Fun.

As soon as the map starts you are immediately you are thrown by what seems to be good luck, as all the locked doors disappear. However the then proves that what might seem to be good, is quite the opposite. As you hit the first group of bounce blocks you are dropped into a fast, action packed map that tests your reflexes and skill straight away. But its not only the skill that is required, you also must have the ability to maintain it (not to mention a little lateral thinking). this is not a map for the faint hearted.

100 words exactly (unplanned), enjoy.
you want to make people want to play the map.

Well,

Writing about the map is good, but being vague is good as well. People would enjoy finding certain things out about this map themselves. The review is to bring attention to the map, so as a rule people who've not played it should be attracted to do so by the review. Thus to maximize the value of play, leaving certain details out, while also making an attractive review, is an excellent way to write a review.
I think that was really the way to victory in this one. Those of you who have tried to be a little more inventive will most likely lose out.

ratatat_

You are too late. ;P

There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls. The half moon illuminates cobwebs in a dry and dusty attic, brown recluses hiding in inky corners, vampire bats hanging hidden behind piles of cardboard boxes. The crawlspaces under the eaves are easy escapes from the uncertainty of the central room.

A child climbs the ladder to this attic with caution, uncertain of what may be lurking where moonshine does not reach. His eyes adjust to the silver light, but the shadows just get darker He has good reason to be afraid.

review

Those kids have ridden fast past that house many times before, but one curious little boy had no fear, he entered...
SWOOSH, a small ghost swoops from under him, SWOOSH, another. The ghosts overwhelming him, he feels trapped, but an exit suddenly catches his eye. He notices that he must find the keys to get out and make his escape. As he moves closer to each door he learns that this is no ordinary haunted house.

Review

In the cobwebs they wait,
Throw your friends in as human bait,
But no, they all have wisely fled,
Push on through, or make a spirit's bed,
Are you Worm's meat?
Will you Face defeat?
Pass through obstacles and fear,
Then you will have won.
But what does the next room bear?
Oh, God, it's just begun...
the good thing about this map is its design which almost makes a person feel of webs aswell as the spiders running to catch its prey as the player goes into there territory. also the way the floor gaurds can move on the locked door was good too. though i also liked the teleportors speacially i just cant figure out how to make one even after getting a tuteral about it :( over all i think that this map is kind of good

Spiders. Cobwebs everywhere. They hide in these cobwebs waiting for the perfect time to strike you to inject their lethal venom, a slow and painful death. These spiders make a seemingly empty fortress turn into a silent deathtrap. Theres only one way out of this maze of dreadful webs. Rocket_Thwumped designed not only a perfect Ghosty entry, but an original and fun map, a graveyard.

Watch out for the spiders.

Review:

'Once upon a midnight dreary, I walked my abode weak and weary,
Over many quaint and curious forgotten halls, Continued I -
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently clattering, clattering on the chamber floor.
`'Tis some intruder,' I muttered, `tapping on the chamber floor -
Only this, and nothing more.'

Well,

ACR wins the shit out of my vote.

@29403: too short! you lose

Review:

I have seen many Ghosty Entries but after playing this, the new and old mixed. The gameplay and visuals make it look like a interlude before a fight with a powerful guy or something. The techniques used for the floorchasers were astonishing. It looks like mitigation but annexed within the bounceblocks are airchasers. The Concept Of This Map May Not Occur Much Today But The Map Has Made Law And Justice Among The Entries.

ACR's

review is so soppy, so here goes.

This map is reeallly spooky. That alone deserves a feature. But the doors, the bounceblocks, the floorguards... it works on soooo many levels. Give r_t the 10,000 dollars!

What a beautiful blueprint we have here....t'would be perfect for a haunted house.

crap...

switch the words "angel" for "ghosts"
Where are you? A place you've never been.
Walk up a corridor. Look, cobwebs everywhere.
Nothing moves. A quiet room.
You hear doors. Many doors, opening.

Closer.

Be careful. More than just little spiders lurk in these halls.
Something shiny. Is there more? Yes.
A platform. A different room. You are confused.
Something brushes past your leg. Goosebumps.

Closer.

A shriek. Some awful sound.
A little angel. Almost unnoticeable. Then more.
The angels are fast. Very fast.
Run. Run for your life.

Too close.

Review.

Rocky Thumper woke at the clatter of tripwires being set off. He glanced up the chasm he was in a noticed a passageway, illuminated by a faint blue electric glow. Climbing up, he was amazed to discover an expanse of buoyant blocks and unfamiliar environments. Feeling curious, he leaped down to feel the material, only to be welcomed by the buzzing whir of an approaching floor guard. And there he was, running for his life. Say hello the haunted house of a map that is 'Cobwebs'.

what do a review?

For the heck of it

At first I was like, "Holy **** a floor-guard" And then I died and went off to play some other map. I failed to notice three teleporters, awesomely placed bounceblocks, and a hell lot of fun. As soon as I saw it got first place, I decided to try it. I was amazed that I missed out on the great gameplay, with predictable but still frightening floor-guards, puzzling situations, and the giant dust cloud produced when you go through the left teleporter. I think this map can be enjoyed by everyone on numa.

Play it.

Review.

You hear a mass of doors pulling open somewhere inside.
You see the cobwebs, luriking in the shadows of the corners.
You smell the damp walls as you make your way into the room.
You feel the electricity humming in the air.
You taste the present death in the air.

It's hard not to be scared.

now I

THIS MAP IS GREAT
