Here is my idea:

  • Multiple rooms, separated from each other in terms of gameplay.
  • The whole map is dark except for the room the ninja is in at the time (lights go on when the ninja enters and off when the ninja leaves)
  • Tile drones change the rooms after you leave, and enemies are revealed (or added using nreality triggers).
  • the map goes in a loop so when you return to the first room it's harder than before and shaped differently.
  • after a certain number of loops, probably not too many, a path to the exit appears.

The result of this is a map that starts off simple (lonely halls), with few enemies and a decent amount of gold in the rooms, and builds on each loop until the rooms are challenging. There will probably be only four or five rooms so it's not too long, I don't want the map to be annoyingly difficult to finish. Because the rooms change it's like a sidescrolling game, a much bigger map.

What do you think? I know it's pretty complicated but I can do most nreality mods, except the lights, triggers, and possibly tile drones (haven't tried tile drones before but can probably figure them out).

atob,

I need your help man :D

How are you with nreality? I have an idea for the muse contest that uses a lot of nreality. Could you help me with it?
I was making assumptions, and listening to what other people said too much. I had heard about the thing with Arachnid, but forgot about that until now. I was too used to the asshole NUMA mappers who keep showing up recently. I guess I was being one of those too ;)

I apologize for my accusations, and if I ever need help I'll be sure to consider you. Would you be willing to give advice on maps if I asked?

Here's a demo for this map, I liked the laid back feel to the game play, not too hard but the difficulty is there. the length of an agd is nice as well.

THIS

IS BRILLIANT.

4. Very good.

Tileset is relatively interesting and gameplay is flowy enough.
