Description Twentyfifth map in my Metanet-esque series. The other twentyfour can be found here [nmaps.net].

Any ideas and/or suggestions for this or future maps in the series are welcome.

This one shouldn't be too hard to complete. Go for highscores or speedruns, whichever you prefer.

(Also, I know this doesn't really feel like an "arctic" map, but this was the first name I could think of.)

The rest of it, not so much. I didn't see a need for all those bounceblocks; it just made the loading time worse.

The thwump climb was a lesson in tedium. I had a lot of trouble with it, and if that's only like the first quarter of the map, then something might be a little out of place

The main chamber was fun, but a little excessive in object placement. The thwumps on the right were also not fun. They just seem like a cheap way to kill you.

All in all, way better than I could have done. 4/5

It's Okay...

nothing outstanding in it though. I liked the overall feel some, but taken individually the mechanics weren't that great, didn't feel very fine-tuned. Also, can I use the mine style in the vertical column just above the exit in one of my maps?

except that i liked the individual sections more, it had better aesthetics, and had more atmosphere. i do think that the gold on the initial thwump climb looks bad when it's right in front of another rather light colour; i would prefer the clumps in the center of the roadway, perhaps with a lone rocket firing down from a distance from the top...? that would have been fun. the mines and gold at the exit look bad. i would have preferred that they be more organized, instead of some being on top of the mines, and some being between mines. but overall a nice job. 4/5

Hm.

The entire thing feels a bit clunky and unrefined.

The initial thwump climb is a little repetitive, and the passage to the exit looks and plays messily compared to the rest of the map.

Also little things bugged me like the gold overlaying the thwumps, seems really untidy to me (but I guess that's just personal preference).

The main chamber is fun, if a little uninspired, and the clumps of BBs work well as do the gauss. just doesn't seem to gel overall.
