Checking out bitesized races is a good way to improve your own: http://numa.notdot.net/browse?q=race+bitesized&sort=random
It suffers from a rather basic tileset, relatively predictable (and therefore not as exciting) flow, and bland use of enemies. The image looks nice but overlaps the tiles by several pixels, making it a bit more difficult to play. One thing I did like was the dynamic elements in the map (your use of doors and one-ways). HOWEVER, the rockets tend to misfire a lot, namely the bottom right one, and that just ruins the fun.

Well,

I do agree with Meta_Ing on the flow part but, Meta_Ing, I think there is something wrong with you, *gasp* eating tiles?

The flow is quite bad w/o Nreality, with nreality, you can not see the ninja smashing against un flowy tiles. I think that this could be improved 100% flowwise.

And, erm, Meta_Ing, fix yourself >_>.
When I first saw the image for this map, I had an unusual desire to eat the tiles. (literally...) Probably due to the color of the tiles, as well as the name of the map sounding a lot like "dessert." I know it's meant to be a desert and sand, but still...

Anyways, I really liked the flow of this map. I did get lost near the end a little, but I still beat the map

Rockets killed me

...A lot.

4-.5 for the uncontrolable deaths, so 3.5
