It's not very often I have the privilege to play such maps as this one.

Upon starting this map, you are given the feeling of being dropped into forest with no provisions. You must survive off the terrain, and avoid any hazards that are near. In this map, no object could be placed better, and no tile be chiseled better then it is.

Can you survive? — blackson

It was executed perfectly.

Other than that nice, though I didn't find it particularly thrilling.

the frames look up to you

Lovely

this is all around perfect.

Some of the best laser placement i've ever seen, and cracking tiles.

great job atob!

Yeah

This is a pretty cool level. I wish I was good enough to beat it. =)

I'm not sure

it's worth trying to do anything else with the tiles as they are, there's not really much room to innovate the objects ).

Perhaps you could take the theme and try something with it? I think that might work out better.

I don't mind at all, either way.

Awesome level!

One of my favorites. Can I use the tileset? I'll give credit.

Hey now!

It's not my fault my forests are in danger of extinction! :(

Thanks for the comments all.

i like.

race-like flow combined with top-notch action. very cool. great tiles too. except for those trees. i hate those trees. they dont even look like trees to me.

fastish

agd. like the set up and enemies, but the path was backward. I feel like you should start in the round part. 4.5 up/faved.

lol

what are on about frets?

yeah, i love it.

i think one of the major things that creates the atmosphere is that you feel that you could wander over and get the key for some reason from your starting point, and i can't work out why, or why that really adds to the atmosphere, but it's cool, faved

eh

i didnt like a lot of it it was cool, but not special really
Great atmosphere and fantastic paced gameplay.

LOVED it.

everything about it. Tiles, gameplay, everything. You even inspired me to make this [nmaps.net]
My bad for not reading into it well enough. Thanks for the feedback, appreciated.
I was suggesting that stalactites are not original,
(therefore removing them would boost the general originality of your map, and the accuracy of your claim), apologies for confusion.
The 'hollow' part I was unsure of.
You've placed stalactites on what used to be the sky in the original map. My suggestion was to clearly define where the actual 'cave' is in the map. But if you were aiming for the abstract, then my suggestion is probably at odds with your intention.

Hollow how?

It's not supposed to be entirely realistic, it's supposed to be more dream/nightmare like. Kind of like A Tim Burton movie, over styled.

If you take them away it ruins the atmosphere, imo, try it yourself.

And how would following your opinion make my claim of uniqueness less hollow?

And thanks.
But you should take off the stalactitey things you tacked onto the ceiling, to give the map a clearly defined outdoor area and cave area, and also make your 'unique look' speech sound less hollow.

gah...

My main concern

was to create atmosphere and a sense of adventure, I think I achieved that pretty well.

Nothing massively original about the actual mechanics, but the balance is just right and the overall feel and look is unique enough to stand out from the more generic cave map designs.

If you're going to tell me you like/dislike it, please be specific. Thanks.
