there are atoms, everything is made of atoms, including DNA, as they are the smallest element. different atoms peiced together make different mollecules, and that concludes the arguement over which is bigger: atoms or molecules. You can remember this by thinking that molecules has a bigger name, so it is larger than a atom, which meantime has a smaller name, so it's therefore smaller.
On atoms you will see electrons, which spin constantly around the atom, like planets do to the Sun. These let the atom and surrounding atoms join together. In the instant that matter was made, they formed together making different types of matter, like liquid, gas and solid matter. These electrons are delicate, and atoms all have a certain amount of electrons (we're talking about a few BILLION in this situation). So when you spit an atom, it affects the electrons surronding it, which affects the atoms around it, which is what is in a atomic bomb. This produces green-house gasses, but it creates more matter, then making the a wider atmosphere on earth.
These atoms we talk about (or I talk about) connect to genetic matter, and also proteins to support the DNA (remember your strands of DNA are verrrrrrrrrrrrrry longggggggg). The proteins are in the classification as enzymes, so therefore there are atoms in DNA.
