lol

from 4.5 to 3.5 in one vote...
and the snipers return...lol...
i was wondering if they had forgotten about me...lol...

actually, thist ileset probly deserves a 3-4 range anyway...but i do think its funny how consistant this rating thing is getting...

lol

dont ask me why...i have no idea...cuz an example is all it was ever ment to be...

To be honest,

It does just look like an example. Nothing special. No reason why it should be 3rd top rated right now.

I

mean linky: http://numa.notdot.net/map/45900

lol...

once i start, i dont tend to stop...i know it, you know, we all know it...and i feel no need to change...

although thats not a bad idea...maybe it could help the noobs and prevent numa from going to hell like many of us older users think it is...

wow nemetacyst

your really getting into this. you should open your own school in the forums, lol. i love your n-art, its amazing, looking at your first ones it show how much you've improved. my n-art/ tile making is hopeless. I stick to DDAs when it comes to non-playable ;)

wow...long posts...

but im not done yet...

dont ask for help placing objects...
that cant really be told...but by experimenting and playing levels, one gets a feel for what works...

but

that really is enough about my style of tiles...
now anybody could eaily replicate my style...
and i dont really desire that...
but most ppl ignore me anyway...
so no harm done...one more person becoming an excellent level making is always a good thing...as long as not too many ppl decide they want to copy me...

well...

think of it this way...where do artists(real srtists, not the stupid modern crap called art) get ideas, what do they draw? the simple answer is nature...and what better use can one make with a rough tileset??? simple answer, a cave...

and since all levels are enclosed spaces to begin with, adding tiles makes it more enclosed, and therefor, more cavelike...if you look at msot of my recent action levels, you will notice no matter what shape they take, they have the basic forms of caves...they tend to be somewhat narrow and long...

as for the frog...that just takes some getting used to the tiles and a feel for what looks good...and can be functional...speaking of which i need to make that level...

wow

u did all this for me? thanks. ill try to roughen up my levels from now on. but how do you make them so artistic? the frog was just incredible. i have a few maps, none on NUMA, i make maps for my friends at school, and i came to NUMA for ideas, and never thought of just making a tileset before. so i tried. and when I looked at it I cried. cause they dont look good...... still, thxs again.

lol

ok...i trust you...but i dont think its wonderful...
it took me 2 minutes, its really jsut for an example...

o cmon

we all know this is not a 5/5 level...

am i just becoming popular all of a sudden???

K

ill check them out

naice!

btw, ive made an n-art and another map, just for ure info.
"__"

lol

now i know why he asked for help...

...ppl like my style more then i thought...

cool

5/5/

notice

how i have very few continuesly smooth surfaces...i disrupt them by using a tile that fits the space and general slope of the previous tiles, but so that its no logner smooth...

so although the tiles are continuously going the desired direction, it has more of a cave-looking style...

more variety to prevent repetition of any kind...
