This was a joke. There is no optical illusion. The point was the squares look like they are the same color, because they are the same color. Nothing "Illusiony" about it. It was a joke. I guess i failed. Miserably.

this is obviously the wrong illusion to do on numa...

the wall and background color dont differ enough for a significant effect, and what stardeash said is exactly correct, and those facts completely lost the illusion for me...
