Oh well, At least you got a lot of rates. Look to the bright side. I was sniped once... way back in 2006.
Another user decided to make a ded to their sniper to make them confess. I tried it, but it didn't work.

It is really harsh to snipe maps

i just went through all of your maps, and felt really bad seeing the low ratings of all of your maps. :( :(.
some guy who has really bad grudge with you might have done it. numa coders should do something about it. we should be able to see who all have rated our maps. sniping is a very lame deed. but alas, you cant do anything. you just have to accept it. Really sorry for you, bro. :(

btw, really nice tileset. must have taken a lot of labour. I can forsee a great puzzle map over this tileset. :)

actually,

i agree with flag and streets.
dont respond or react to them in any way. it will eventually go away. i know its not a good example, but i got sniped on one of my maps and i didnt retaliate in any way. and it went away, just like that. but, its your choice if you want to either dissable rates or not on your next maps.

What I would do

is just ignore it. Don't freak out, just be normal with it. If you really want to, I just disabled ratings for the next 2 of my maps, but you don't have to do it. Everyone will know that you're a good mapper, but those who are new may not. You can tell the new people that you were sniped in a simple sentence, but I would just wait until they stop ;).

i'm only going to say this once and then i'm going to pretty much ignore all ratings complaints ever

whoever is sniping you is reading all of your stupid arguments and complaints and being entertained by them. supply and demand. until you stop complaining, or disable ratings, you will continue to get sniped

I just tried to make a joke trying to say something like that "You were repressed for not posting maps in two month and now you show us all your powers posting 3-4 maps a day". Again, it was only a joke. About the sniping, you do not need to behave this way, we have all been sniped a time, to me for example they made over 300 0s in my 50's column, just your behavior it's what the sniper wants. And about your break, that's fine, I understand it, but that's not a reason to make average maps and thinks that they are really cool, and again, I was being friendly and positive with you. you're at 100, I do not want you go on publishing shit, you have skills to post really good stuff, and that's what I want from you, not unpolished stuff. Everyone have better and worse maps, that's natural, but I want you to force yourself to only produce good maps, at leats in your own opinion, and if you think that your last maps are not so, you're agreeing with me somehow. Hope you understand what I mean, and you take it the best way, and I've said before, it's a friendly advice.

sorry for rambling, but I am just annoyed about the sniping.
I guess I have many maps, including my post 100 ones, that aren't "above-cut", but I still think that I don't deserve a ton of constant 0s :/

And about the sniping, if worse comes to worse, I could just permanently disable ratings. I have a suitable amount right now, and my profile histogram is great, probably the best I could have atm. it wouldn't be the end of the world if I just made people post the rating.

Besides the fact that my last map was only meant to be a tileset, why should I "admit that my maps aren't a cut above the rest"? Yes, my recent maps have been horrible, but since my 99th-100th map, that was a 2 month wait and I haven't been mapping for a while.

Other than that, I find it interesting that you have only played one of my maps, and would comment and hint something like that. I constantly try to improve, and am finding my maps getting better and better (besides the last few like I said).

If that isn't enough, look at my histogram. After 100 maps,my histogram peaks at a rating of 4.5, which is common for many people here, but that's all I am trying to say. My maps are pretty good compared to others around here; not better; not worse.

I know my maps are bad compared to some people, like elites and old-timers, and maybe even some newer members, but still, I'm not going to say mine are below the rest. If hat were true, my reputation wouldn't be as it is, or at least was, before my major period of break

What I just said may sound babyish, but in my past few months on NUMA, I have recieved tons and tons of 5s and amazing comments on many of my maps. I always strive to improve, and if someone is sniping me, then yes, maybe they don't like my maps, but still... they don't have half a reason to rate with constant 0s.
