The aesthetics were partially there; there was a sense of theme in the tiles, although altogether it just felt too vast and open given what was required in terms of gameplay to get through the level. I wasn't a fan of the trapdoors either, they looked a little ugly - in fact given Eddy's demo a much better challenge would probably be provided through removing them altogether. There is certainly potential in the idea so it'd be nice to see you develop on this. ^^
