Description remix'd

This map was featured on 2015-09-09

You know these maps where, let's say, you run along a corridor when a thwump that had been invisible suddenly smashes you. Hidden enemies are a thing you are used to seeing from inexperienced mappers and in most cases they fail to make it work nicely.
In contrast, shortshift created "child's attraction" and shows that with hints here and there, elegantly indicating where danger awaits you, hidden enemies can actually be a great feature. So have a go at this but be warned: You'd better keep your eyes open.

Very interesting contest, and this was a splendid entry. Almost a shame none of the featured muse maps use the original review, though ;)

Oh atob...

I do believe that the exit switch was included at such a location for the very purpose of affecting the level with unexpected protraction.
Or something.
As atob said, it keeps well with the review.
really excellent!

Dude.

You would have gotten first if you used a Tactical Insertion. :|

I like it

It really does a good job af getting more intense as it progresses. and marking the hidden enemies was a good choice!

Decent, although hidden enemies are are pain since they tend to kill without any chance to avoid it.

Very cool.

I love the minimalistic interpretation. Really stylish.

This is one of the most in keeping with the review, with the only real omission being the "far from over" aspect.
