The jumps are rather unexciting. Walljump here, running jump there, repeat. Try to have variety in your jumps as well as "composite-jumps" where the player must make several jumps in quick succession to gain enough speed to do them or something. But at the same time beware of making maps which no human could ever realistically complete...
Aesthetics were kinda lacking but don't worry about that, it'll come naturally. Just focus on gameplay for now :)

Make the mines three quarter of a tile apart
Or else like a zig-zag like I did in this map. [nmaps.net] That way it's impossible to jump between them while reducing loading time.
