| Description | more people don't like my maps than i thought. i'm still going to make maps, but since relatively few people seem to enjoy them, i'm not going to bother clogging this site with them. i'm not leaving the community, but you all won't be seeing any more maps from me.
btw, this is a mediocre map that i'm subbing just because i have to sub something. |

thanks for all the advice but you shouldnt quit your maps are great maybe if you need to give Numa a break..sometimes people need a break if they have been on a while some people make the mistake of quitting and cant go back.

We should have like a society. Rather we (myself being the head of this group of elitists, as I *am* *the* *best* mapper on the entire of numa) should kick everyone off of the site who doesn't conform to our absolute standards. Ratings of course will be useless because every map submitted will be 5 worthy, in fact we'll completely get rid of ratings. Same goes with featuring; every map will be feature-worthy. Shortly after that, anyone who falls below a perfect 5 rating (decided by *me* of course) is promptly banned from the site. In addition, a counsel of the survivors will come together and if a single one of them doesn't like someone's map, then that user is banned and shunned in every aspect of their life. Imagine, a hot maps full of *perfect* maps... a utopia, a plethora of perfection. You're just the first to go.

I have a few reasons that you should keep mapping. Of course you don't have to listen to them, but just hear me out (or read me out, or whatever):
1. As Leaff said, some people do infact like your maps. So if you stop posting them, the people that do like your maps won't have your maps to look forward to anymore.
2. NUMA is a place for authors to post their maps. Not everyone is going to like your maps all the time. And besides, people use NUMA to get better at mapmaking. So by not posting maps on NUMA anymore, you're constricting yourself from getting any feedback on your maps, thus constricting yourself from making better maps.
3. If you really want to map for others, then getting feedback is the way to get more people to enjoy your maps. You won't be able to do that if you quit mapping though.
If even after this you still don't want to come back to mapping, that's fine. Good luck, whatever choice you decide to make.

sorry, but I see you have 67 out of 112 maps rated, and two featured. that doesn't sound 'brushed over.'
Though beside the point. Need to get some other thoughts out:
I'm sure no one here ever wished that one of my maps wasn't made, and the same goes for your maps and everyone else's. No one is going to think that you are "clogging this site" with your map; as long as you are trying hard, which I'm sure you do.

I've been mapping for god-knows-how-long, and people still brush over me as though I don't exist. So don't give up now, not when you still have a long and prosperous mapping career ahead.
half my maps are maps are maps that I like more than the others, and at the same time are ridiculed by faults I don't agree with. Still, making maps just for myself wouldn't be nearly as fun as sharing them with a community, and people still enjoy trying them whether they're good or not.
So please don't stop coming completely if others find fault with your maps.

I mean, Meatpuppet hates most of my maps but I have a small number of people who take a look at them.
But i kept mapping because i knew i would get better and me /and/ others would like them. And it happened. Some people like my maps now, and so do i. Some people and I share the opinion that some of my maps are good.
