wat
I've heard of GTM, but when I did a search for this "myself" guy, there were no results. How come i've never heard of him if he's so hugely popular?

Uh,
I never asked you to leave. I never said anything of that sort. Instead, you twisted my words and threw a hissy fit when all I suggested is that if you are multi accounting, you drop the facade and just make maps as whoever you were. That's all. Believe me, I've been here a lot longer than you, TheEverPresent, and I've seen a lot of multiaccounting. I know what it looks like - and I have every right to be suspicious.
Furthermore, you're an okay map maker, but most of what you make is tired and generic, as is your response to being sniped. I don't suspect you of being a multi accounter because I think you're too good to be new. I just recognized old habits of certain map makers.
In any case, since you seem to vigorously defend that you're new, I will trust you, as have a lot of others. But, honestly, I suggest you learn to ignore "sniping" and handle others' criticism better. There's no need to go crazy every time someone makes a negative assertion.

and I liked the tiles. As for countersniping I get sniped a lot but I'm not a fan of countersniping I think its dishonest and it just makes the playing feild even less level as some people get countersniped and others don't. I think its best just not to care about ratings all my maps eventually average out to 4 regardless of how good they are so I now ignore ratings. I don't know what basis they think you are a multi-accounter on but I have never seen you before. Thanks for putting me on your profile thats really encouraging but you've never even commented on my maps before that I've seen :)

I'm not telling you to leave
I'm saying that the 3 on that map is a much different 3 than the 3 you had on your map much earlier, and were complaining on.
That map to be brutally honest, is better than this map. I don't think of you as a bad author, simply a new author. GTM has 200+ maps under his belt, not counting delisted and unsubmitted. He has a featured map. And yet a very good map crafted by him gets a 3, and is rated by less people than this map, and stays on the hot maps for less time than this map.
People are simply reacting to this. When the more experienced mappers sadly watch GTM's maps fall of the hot maps, and see it replaced by less developed maps such as this one, it angers them. Quite honestly, it slightly angers me too. Don't take it personally, its just a fact of life. You're unknow, and not only do suspicions of multiaccounting arrive, but also perhaps resentment at this map for the perhaps excessive attention it is getting, at least compared to other maps of similar quality.

I'd be surprised if you weren't.
5 seem to only be reserved for the best map. I have played some maps I consider amazing and most still have a 4 average with very few people rating 5s. I just don't see any of these maps deserving 5 ratings. Non the less I'll give you 4... 2 hour old map with 11 comments on a new account... gratz.

Shoot.
Damned enter key.
The title was supposed to be "Countersniping is equally invalid as sniping."
As I said in my comment before, I have great suspicion you are a multi-accounter. I really hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not, please don't play this game. You aren't fooling anyone - this isn't some great new experiment, and you certainly aren't the greatest talent to ever "rock NUMA." If not, feel free to ignore me and continue mapping as you like.

Everyone gets sniped. Deal with it.
Personally? I happen to think you're a multi-accounter.

I rated it a 3
If that helps your evaluation
Sniping happens to all of us. If you're 100% sure about it, just ask someone else to countersnipe (5) it.

Generic?
I thought these were innovative. the exit place was a tad ugly, but i loved the whole concept of the map. I say 4.5^

Generic tiles
more of painful than hard
the tiles were meh, the switch area was ugly tbh
and the exit was poorly placed

Oh wow, sorry guys (I'm GTM, don't ask about the abbreviation)
1> That map you linked, in her forties, was intentionally generic so that I could utilise the floorguards in a way that wasn't pretentious or pointless. It worked, and I got through on a substandard map because of it. I can easily understand why it got a 3. I'm not worried.
Honestly, I wouldn't have submitted something like that if I was given a more versatile enemy to work with in that contest. See this map to see what I mean. Link [nmaps.net]
2> I like your maps. Yes, they're not really involved or dynamic, and yes, they are quite generic. I'd know, I used to do this a lot. I actually made a map-pack out of it -_-
However, I think that for a new user such as yourself it's better to nail the basics and mechanics of N first, which you've clearly shown in a number of examples. That makes your maps good, but not great. if you want to bring your maps to the next echelon, you need to make them unique, create atmosphere, and make each experience different from the last. Changing one tile shape to another does not do this. You'll see what I mean when you get around to it; I'm still having trouble grasping this myself.
3> I am not the messiah figure ganteka's making me out to be. As someone else once said, "If I've made over 250 maps, yet haven't got the older mapper's attention, I'm clearly doing something wrong."
Even if I do say so myself, my maps are highly playable and often different thematically. I like them. But, in my opinion, they are not hugely popular compared with other authors. They are not a complete "good" Sorry if I'm getting myself on a sanctimonious high-horse here.
4> You should map for yourself, not other people. I know it's a cliché, but unless you find satisfaction in what you do for yourself, there's no point making them so that other people can put them down. I mean, did Picasso make art soely for the auction house? Does Charlie Parker make sweet sweet love to his saxophone so people can give him an 8/10? I think the obvious answer is no.
5> I am, admittedly, the master of all bbcode.
