Just take your time on maps. The key element at the moment is probably the tileset. Make it solid. Type this in to the top right text box on NUMA:

If that doesn't work get rid of the _ there :) Have a look at the way he makes his tilesets. Roomy, and thick bars and stuff. Think about what the player has to do when playing the map.
That's a very important issue. Always keep playtesting maps. Make an account on the forums with the same username and password. People will be able to help you out there, don't worry. Take everyone's advice and always put it into play.
On the metanet realn forums there are lot's of helpful giudes on how to make maps. Also interact with as many people on the forums and on here as possible. The will know you as a friend and will help you as you start as a rookie.
Map making is hard but don't worry, some day you'll enjoy every bit of it :)

Many good ideas, but it has too come together. I didn't like the idea behind this and I didn't like the chaingun. and there wer too many annoying waits, It took me a while to deside between 2 and 3, but I'll give a 2, actual rate is 2.5/5. Didn't like the tileset, other than the chaingun, good enemy choice. I agree with 29430, perhaps some gold or an agd path? :/

Fun, quite hectic but a few too many enemies. The tileset looked a bit messy but still fun - Perhaps place a bit more gold?
