We should do a collab sometime, if you want. It wont be a collab as such, Ill just set up some groundwork, you take care of most of the map, and I tweak and we're done?

I actually think it works faster
If you use my method, you only have to wait for the objects to load once, whereas using your method, you have to wait twice; once for the level to load, and once for the level to reset itself for the demo. (though that shouldn't take too long for this level, my point still stands)
My method is also a bit more reliable, because there have been many times where the person watching a demo complained about it not working, because they forgot a step, causing the demo from the main screen to play instead.
But I guess overall, whichever method you choose is just personal preference.

Well, the symmetry is part of it, but it's also the way the tiles look as well. The "crosshair" type look of the outer tiles makes it seem even more metanet-like.

Yes it does
The easiest and most practical way to watch demos (in my opinion) is to copy a demo from one of the demo boxes, paste it at the very end of the map data (after the last #, add a # to the end of that whole code, copy it, paste it in the replay box in userlevels, and click watch replay.
To answer yours: click outside the box, DO NOT reset the level by pressing L, press 3, then Q (which will reset it for the demo), then turn caps lock on and press P.
