look at other dda's. there are lots of ways of propulsion besides jump-pads. Including locked doors, thwumps, sometimes tiles if you know how to do it.

Agree with underscore - you need to use something besides launchpads to propel the ninja.
Also, you need enemies to create excitement. I suggest you take a look at some of the top-rated ddas (http://numa.notdot.net/browse?sort=rating&order=desc ) to see what I mean.
