hey mate - cool map

just some suggestions from an N veteran :P

1) don't put the ninja starting on a tile - some people still have space as their jump key you know - very annoying

2) more gold down the bottom, I know you might have been after an aesthetic look but since it's designed to be played in Nreality and userlevels put more in, it doesn't hurt anyone, just a few more clicks of the mouse

3) what nexx said about the cacti and guasses - they don't mix, put the guass thingies in the sky or something.

A very nice image map though and fun to play.

Excellent idea.

I didn't want the sides of each cactus to cling to the tiles too much, they'd look a little too scrawny. Sliding in front of the protruding parts is a great fix, I'll have a go later.

Overall, I'd consider this a rather botched - and rushed ;) - attempt at layering. I just thought the overall atmosphere and effect was decent enough for a sub, for now at least.

With sliding and jumping around on a cactus.
Great imagery, and didn't play awkwardly despite how the cactuses were fatter than the tiles. Would've been nice if the ninja went over the sticking-out portions of the cactuses, though.

It doesn't bug me so much that the cacti aren't quite lined up with the tiles. What DOES bug me is that the gauss are hidden in the cacti. I don't get that at all. Still, it's a fun map.

The only thing that bugs me is how the cacti don't quite match up with the tiles; that is, you can slide into the cactus.
But....the image needs a bit of work calibrating with the tiles. It's not awkward, the level plays fine, but it feels unpolished.
