The cross in the center can be a bit difficult to get out of, but it is possible. First Map I've made, any and all input (Good or Bad) would be appreciated. |

you shouldn't ask for BAD input
critique is more like it... my two cents: spend lots of time on aesthetics. Whether or not they make the gameplay better is important; you can make a good looking crappy level or a crappy looking fun level, but the best place to be is making a good looking fun level. Also, be more innovative. Don't use trap doors to keep people from winning on their first try. Experiment with Asymmetrical maps, landscape areas, base tilesets on real-world objects, etc... and try to move beyond the gameplay concept of simply collecting a bunch of switches to get to the door. And make sure all switches are neccessary to complete the level. Don't cluster enemies and make sure your enemies are placed efficiently.
Okay, that's all I can think of.
