Description | The second draft. I'm calling this one a tileset instead of an N-art, in the hopes that some kind soul will use it in a level... anyway, enjoy!
please rate, comment, demo, use, credit, abuse, all that stuff. ~Mechtra |

Aww, I just like arguing.
peace, man.

Always peace, man
And don't consider my comments negative. It's just difference of opinion/taste, that's all.

Also, to clarify:
I never professed my tilesets to be greater in any way.
The mention of winning contests was merely to show my experience with them and that because of that my opinion may be worth something here.

Elitist?
The very fact that you agree with right of opinion dispels this entirely.
And unfortunately, there is always a standard of comparison when it comes to design. To deny that is both foolish and ignorant. There is no argument against this, no matter how hard you try to convince that there is.

I could not disagree with you more.
I find the form of this tileset to be rather interesting and unique. It doesn't merely copy its subject, it takes it and changes it into something different. Of course, it would be unusable as a tileset, but the aesthetic value is not to be ignored.
further more, To call this 'amateurish' is both elitist and un-true. It implies that there is a universal standard against which tilesets are places to which this level has, somehow, fallen short of, and other tilesets, including yours, which you mention in your second post, have surpassed. This idea unfairly disregards the unique values of different tilesets, by standardizing the system by which they are judged. To call it 'ugly' is, of course, entirely your opinion, and is incontestable.
To be fair however, you are perfectly entitled to say what you think.

I called this *map* ugly and amatuerish
not you. Take that crit well and grow with it, I didn't say you were shit and utterly incapable.
Also, I have quite a few tile set arts, both worked into levels and stand alone. Two of which helped me win the first tileset madness contest. Have a look though my maps if you can be arsed.
To reiterate: it was nothing personal, there was never any mention of 'hate' and you most likely need to grow up.

1.5/5
It only looks like its intended form because the title prompts our imaginations. Alone it's amateurish and slightly ugly.
I have no idea why people love this so much.
