now I agree with you on this, some damn sniper sniped like 5 of my maps(most where ddas) I know the ratings hardly matter, but I want to know what I should do to make it better, and how good they like my mapmaking style and all that stuff, and with snipers, I can't...

I think this was meant to be a speech or something, but look at the rating of this! and it's gotten way more veiws than any of my maps!I won't rate, cause if I do you'll think I'm sniping you.

This is ridiculous.
You simply can't accept the fact that someone out there doesn't like you. The fact that this is in the top 10000 disgusts me, let alone the top 20. If you can't appreciate your mapmaking enough to stay in spite of the sniper(s), then you shouldn't be here.
End of story.

that your maps don't just deserve the ratings you receive, have you done any legitimate math that indicates someone has been giving you 0's? I have a strong feeling not everyone who says they're being sniped is actually being sniped (Although I do recognize that some map makers are legitimately sniped).
Unfortunately some of you will get mad at me for this, but this is my honest opinion. Anywhoooo.... I did like your maps, and I'm sorry to see you leave. The point of making maps on here isn't the ratings, but the fun of making them and the supportive comments that the non-snipers give.

Many times, I have seen maps that make it to the top-rated page (and they deserve it) and suddenly get many votes very quickly that drop the rating down to a 3. Don't leave because of them, though! Then they would win.

im a man who speaks his mind...and i have to say...having a bunch of 4 ratings isnt a bad thing...on your top 20 or 30, i saw maybe 4 lower then that, and alot of ones without 5 ratings...take a look at my past 10, (non incomplete) levels...even i have been sniped worse, almsot all of mine are 3.5, thes niper hasnt made it past those, so most after that have expected ratings(you can see where the shift happens), and i know they are better then that(well, all but a couple)...

what im saying, in simple terms, is deal with it...nothing can be done, or at least, nothing will be done unless we all get really pissed off at arachnid(anybody up for it? i am)...

snipers are a part of the community, sad but true...
tolerence? screw that, just dont let them get to you so much that you want to quit...prove you are above them by ignoring them...

And I know you don't want people saying crap about not worrying, but I quit too. Not for long, because I realized that ratings isn't everything. We know you are a good map maker, we don't need the ratings to tell us that. Please reconsider this.

I have a little posse of snipers who always wipe out my achievements of having top-rated maps. They aren't fit to shine my shoes.

I actually decided today to stop posting to NUMA (seriously, what a coincidence!) until Arachnid impliments the no-ratings option. I'm sick of being reminded of this negative crap. I have a map pack to make and I can post on the forums anyways.
