Description	Singapore river has played an important role in Singapore's history. In fact, it was on the banks of the Singapore River that Singapore's founder, Sir Stamford Raffles, landed. Over the years, the Singapore River became a very busy area, with lots of traders trading their goods here. Presently, trading is no longer carried out on the Singapore River, but it is now a tourist attraction, and boats ferrying tourists can be seen plying the river. BTW, I live in Singapore
