Err...

If it were a symbol, it would be a Manji. The difference between a Manji and a Swastika is the direction the "arms" point in; on a Swastika, the bottom and top "arms" form an S, whereas on a Manji, they form a Z. Look it up on Google/Wikipedia/etc. for a more in-depth decription.
