Damien awoke. So it was a dream then. Yet...it seemed so real. It couldn't have been. He stood up on shaking knees. He felt like throwing up. He leaned against a wall, and through the corner of his eye. Saw a light. He turned. It wasn't a light, but reflecting it instead. Gold. Precious gold. He felt a need for it. A craving. The same craving he felt earlier. He wobbled towards it, limping from a bad leg. He reached out and grabbed it. But it was gone. A faint sound bounced throughout the room. Ping! That was odd...Suddenly he felt better. Extremely better. Like he just got 2 more seconds to live. Huh. He stepped outside. What was left of the world. Rubble. Nothing. Off in the distance the red drones that had attacked him not but a few minutes ago where continuing to burn through the city. He had to get out of there. {Game plays as in 00-02} |
