Description | Taking shadenshaft's advice, I planned the enemies well ahead of the level. This level contains a lot of close calls, but I especially like the fact im airborne 90% of the time. (Since it's a dogfight...that's a plane battle...for those who don't know.) Anyways, I know this doesn't beat nevermore's Magnotechnology (i'll get there! :P) But tell me your opinions. So enjoy it, as always! |

Here
Is one in particular. This uses trapdoors that have the point facing the ninja. It doesn't solve your problem exactly, but it gives a bit of a solution.

One of the reasons...
That zap drones aren't commonly used is because they're so easy to use. They don't lag anything up, which is great, and they just move in a straight line. If you ask me, a zap drone DDA is less impressive than, say, a rocket launcher DDA.
About the trapdoors, I suggest you watch wedgie123's DDAs. They use trapdoors in interesting ways.

A few things.
Firstly, I appreciate the flattery. Thank you.
Secondly, DDAs really rely on ages and ages of perfection. You've got to use every form of transportation that exists, and you've got to experiment. Remember to always place the enemies first, and use the objects to keep the ninja close, but far enough from the enemies.
Your DDAs are good, but they lack action. The tilesets also need work. You also include a few extranneous things, such as spelling your name out in trapdoors, and you really shouldn't ever do that. I suggest you place enemies more strategically and evenly spaced, to ensure close calls all around.
I do have a DDA in the works, but I will be done in a very long time. Don't keep your hopes up, as it won't come around for a while.
I suggest you play all of astheoceansblue's maps.
I also hope you try to play my levels as well. I used to be very active, but recently my workload has increased. I also go to school farther from home, so it takes longer to get home, meaning I have less time to myself.
I have a couple of puzzle maps. I like doing them on occasion, but usually only if I have a certain inspiration. I have one or two in development right now.
No, I don't have a level named "Quoth the Raven." I try to keep my names poetic, quirky and somewhat... random. Quoth the Raven is too pertinent to me.
And yes, nevermore is from my favorite poem, "The Raven," by Edgar Allen Poe.
