Yes. I had Donfuy translate for me but he said he wasn’t a translator. Tried to change the title but it won’t let me. But that sounds like it would be a little more accurate? If I can change the title I’ll definitely do so. Thank you for the tip!
I ask because in Portuguese "fumo" as a noun is most commonly associated with the substance being smoked (mostly tobacco), rather than its smoke.

The sentence you used is still possible, but "fumaça" instead of "fumo" is probably more adequate (by the way, "fumaça" is feminine, so it would become "fumaça roxa").
