Author's Notes

Around April 25th 2014, I decided to make a 12-16 map sky-jumper mappack.
I made this map in the first week of may 2014. At that point I only had a vague idea of the narrative concept for the pack, but I already had the tier-based structure of the mappack in mind, with the interlude maps being more varied in style. I made this map specifically to be the second map of the first tier. In early summer I named it "take to the sky."

It's only as I was fine-tuning the order of the maps, two days before posting the mappack, that I noticed this name again and it inspired the details of the story in WE TOOK TO THE SKY. Everything clicked into place, the number and order of the map names was finalized, most maps were moved around, 4 new maps were made and I renamed every existing map except for 00.0, 00.1, 02.8 and 04.0.
