re: art maker
I'm going to put my own two cents in, in defense of the author, and say that I don't think this was made with an art maker. Watch the load order. It loads shape by shape, which is a very good indication that it was handmade. Art maker programs create objects row by row, or column by column, or possibly randomly--but I haven't seen one yet that's intelligent enough to pick out shapes and place objects in a way that makes sense based on the structure of the image.
Very nice work, wedgie.

sigh
the n-art maker program doesn't layer mines, it can only create pictures placing mines in a quarter snap like i have used for the hair and goatee. also if you load this map up in NED then you will see the structure of the map, which is vaguely structured, whereas using the Nart maker it would load it left to right. please dont start bitching when you dont even know what your talking about. damn haters

how can you not tell
that this was made with that art maker program!!! all he did was let that program make a bitmap with mines and then add a 2 gold and MAYBE a few more mines. Thats low.

Reminds me of my "Break for a week" level.
The one with 10,000 mines in it.

AMAZING!
Wow, thats awsome

pariah
i agree looking back at it lol, its anything but rushed though. i go through 3 stages of removing mines because the level just wouldnt submit to NUMA because it was so big. i would change it but the level take about 5-10 min to load up lol, then my computer usually starts crashing lol :D

Good stuff.
The neck at the bottom right annoys me: seems a little rushed or too fat. Something.
I'm not saying this isn't really great.
This *is* really great.

2005-12-24
ahem
i havent used ANY art programs at all, this is all done by hand mine by mine. lets just say that i was bored one day at uni lol (took me bout 5ish hours lol) so i had the time. im also an artist so i have some skill lol
2005-12-24
Sweet
Did you make this with the art program? If you didn't, I can't believe anyone has that kind of time/skill
nemetacyst
...
i personally find it hard to beleive this was made without help of a program, but not impossible to believe
its easy enough to build something with a program in pieces, therefor fixing the load order part, and even using multiple programs so its not consistant in each parts building
but, from experiance, i know its possible to get bored enough to do almost anything, and this is well within the bounds, especially if you have 5 hours as you said you had, and its also questionable whether or not a program could handle that many mines without overloading and crashing, and even more questionable of making it in peices and putting it together in ned without it lagging to hell with a good chance of freezing
so the only reasonable conclusion is that it was made all at once, and therefore by hand
