| Description | 1 lived alone. he sometimes liked to play guitar, he was self taught- finding time to make it his life, since no one else was looking for him. he was quiet, which might have brought on his fate, to live a life of solitary, on the outside humble, but living a life alone. 1 was very sad. 2 was his best friend. 1 and 2 went way back, growing up together, going to parties together, drinking their first beers and trying pot together. they did it all, together. 1 told 2 "you're my best friend and im not ever going to leave you behind", and 2 said to 1 "awesome, because you're my best friend too, and we will always be that way", "cheers" said 1 and 2. 1 and 2 started to part a little as time went by though, only staying in contact through the internet, not really involved in eachothers life anymore. 1 had to move out of town, and 2 stayed behind and left 1 there because 2 met a girl named 3, and things were getting serious in their relationship. although 2 had left his best friend 1 to stay with 3, 2 and 3 were starting to also part, romantically. 2 had the idea "hey, i know, ill call 1" and he did. 1 picked up the phone "hello" "1, i know its been a while best friend, and i know we've split ways, but i need your help." "sure, 2, i know the reasons why you did what you did, and they were okay with me. of course ill help you ill always help you im your best friend" "can you play your guitar for 3 and I? I know you rock at guitar so maybe you can play for us?" "yes i will totally help you, thats awesome." so they make plans, set a time and date to meet, the song, and 1 goes home to practice. 1 spends every waking moment on this plan for his best friend, getting every single note to sound perfect. the day has come now, and 1 heads to go meet 2 and 3 to play for them. and he does. its the most beautiful sounds 3 has ever heard, and it brings a spark back to 2 and 3's relationship. they looked very happy to 1. after the song was done, they were already getting up to leave and 1 quickly said "thanks 1! you're a real best friend" 1 just smiles, as he watches the merry couple walk hand in hand down the road exchanging smiles and laughs. 1 packs up his guitar and heads the other direction to his home. he opens the door to the empty living space he can barely pay for and locks all the locks because someones been trying to break in at night. he sets his guitar by his bed/couch, and checks the answering machine. there were two calls, one being a final notice, the other was a telemarketer, the usual. theres a bad fruit fly problem too, but it didnt bug me that much once the sheets were over my head. then my time was spent thinking about 2 and 3, wondering why i couldnt have what they had, just wishing that someone would call me to talk, that someone would love me, that i could live a happy life. |

This is really nice.
I love how subtle the path back to the top is. Usually you can guess at the route when you look at the thumbnail, but I didn't realize what I had to do until I was on my way up. It was a cool eureka moment, even though it wasn't all that hard to figure out. Glad I stumbled upon this one. Faved.
