Not what I was looking for in the simplicity aspect of things. This map has great aesthetics. They're just not simple. And this is what the contest is about.
Simplicity of Gameplay: 7/10
This map pulled simplicity off quite well. The map didn't feel cluttered. All there was to do was collect switches, collect some gold, and importantly, to avoid getting zapped. That's all there was to it. It wasn't orthodox simplicity but it wasn't one of those newfangled common complex maps.
Gameplay: 10/15
Solid fun. The gold wasn't especially challenging to get, however there were a few frustrating spots. I was never a big fan of toiling around in one-tile width when there's a gauss shooting right at you, and I'm too damn slow for that thwump. I can get passed the thwump on a good day but its' hard for a player like me.
Aesthetics: 7/10
Though far from simple, the tiles are quite nice, and there were some nice gold shapes around the tunnels. I know I don't write much for the aesthetics side of things, but I'm just being concise.
