First off, very good first attempt. My first DDA's were much worse than this, so congrats on such a good first.
Now... Nix the launchpads completely. Launchpads are the wussy way out of a DDA, if you cant make it happen with all the other items, God doesnt want it to happen.
Also cut down on the gold delay bro, its acceptable in situations like, for example, bounceblock propulsion, but dont use it TOO much, especially not on door keys.
People LOVE KRADDA's (Keep Rocket Alive DDA)...like way too much. Try that out. Take a couple hours and just tweak stuff until it works without the rocket dying.
People also love compact levels. The more cluttered and insane you can make your DDA while still using all the items you place (dont place unnecessary items unless it does with some sort of theme) the crazier and more fun it is to watch. ALSO try to use every item more than once if you can, using an item multiple times in different way shows a mastery of the DDA-ing skill.
Obviously this is alot to process and some of it is currently way out of your range, but dont give up. You have a good level here and good potenial to be a great DDA mapper, just keep coming up with new ideas for them and try not to let them get stale!
PS. I dont pretend to be the best DDA-er out there, i am by no means even close. BUt check out some of mine, especially this one http://www.nmaps.net/208692 [nmaps.net] to see what i mean in all the critiques i just made.
Good luck

Yeah,
gold delay (1) and launchpaths are considered as bad and ugly.
(1) gold delay on trapdoor-keys for example. gold delay on bounceblocks are fine though.

Yes.
Try searching DDA in the search bar and take a look at some of the DDAs that come up. Be inspired to make DDAs, but try to leave a few things out like gold delay and launchpads. Have any questions about DDAs, ask b3njamin or me for help.

not bad for first DDA
you seem to understand the propultion (is that spelled right) well.
DDA's require a lot of expierence en learning from other people.
I'm wondering though... you joined numa back in 2007, how come you never made a map or anything?
