That's some good advice. I'm pretty much in the same position as you my friend. E-mail me one of your tile-sets sometime, and we'll do a collaboration.

I think as our maps improve, and as we earn as few followers then our luck will change.

Hey come on...

...I rate them, you know that.

thanks

for your kindness gratz on rated map :)

i might

try that Diamondeye thanks

re-faved

i de-faved when it was relisted, but re-faved now because ill definetly link some other people that want advice to this map if they need some advice as well. ;D

meaning... this is some good advice from everyone.

Man...

Let's rate the map!

T_S_O

If you need help with putting together a map that isn't excessive in usage of objects and plays very well, a good idea would be to try and find someone to collaborate with. Other than that, I think I_B_A_N said it pretty well.

thanks

karmap0lice and Conen TG for your help :)
People dont hte it, but so mny people get cught in this hole tht you are in tht people are no longer inclined to help when they see a "No attention" map. Some people re nice, and I would give advice but I have to go to church now (However I feel your pain my friend. I have been here for almost two years now and have only recently began to climb out of this hole).

Basic shit you need to worry about in the times however:
1. Tiles (or whatever makes your thumbnail image look good)
I know its unfortunate and making a nice looking tileset is hard these days, but its a crazy NUMA we're living in these days and thats just what people wanna see.
2. less objects, less is more as ibaN said. Use your objects to their full potential, dont spam em.
3. Creativity (Or innovation)
I wouldnt worry about the innovation aspect of this just yet, people are VERY picky about things these days. But try and get a creative map idea and work on, something that people will play and go, "That was cool".

I dunno, good luck to you man. It may take a while but dont get discouraged.

go through a few of the more popular mappers to get some ideas on what works and what doesn't, then put your silent_one twist to it.

Remember that any concept is a good concept, it all depends on how you use it.

The easiest way to sum this all up is to spend more time on your map. There's a difference if you just like the map, or if you can't stop playing it. Also, if you love your map to bits, the average player will feel about half as much, so you really got to like the final outcome to appeal everyone.

no problem

glad i could help ;D

thanks

im_bad_at_n for your help

sorry

im not sure why i relisted this but to the people who will complain about it im sorry but i need good advice

faved.. so

i can get back to this map when i want to...

aww...

noone else can see my spectacular advice =(
first, its important to remember that using excessive objects (mines, gold, enemies, etc.) is not a good thing since it lags for most people and the proper experience cannot be achieved. for example, in the mine dodger map thumb... it looks like 1/2 the mines can me taken out and it would still play the same.

1)objects = less is more (there are exceptions... n-arts, ddas, etc. maps that won't be loaded more than 1 time probably.

next is also very important... split your time wisely. when i make a map, this is how it goes... first 1/3 of the process is making a good tileset... this is very important! a good tileset will attract many people. my next 1/3 is the objects, make them attractive, make them in small numbers (#1)... the next 1/3 and the last part is playtesting. make sure your objects and tileset flows well together and make sure the agd completion is possible. This part is also very important! people love playtested maps.

2)make a tileset that will attract many
3)playtest, playtest, playtest!!!

just my advice ;D

alright i my as

well delist this then

people

really hate it when you complain about not getting attention. That's probably why this didn't get any attention.
