kind of reminds me

of some of my races with patterns, mostly Scattered Lego [nmaps.net] and Petals In A Storm [nmaps.net]. It's good to see people like you and Cheez, who don't make much races, start to try making some, and I believe that this is a good start, although I found the starting chimney kinda slow, but the rest was good. Keep at it.

thanks chume, its reassuring knowing the ones that play my maps consistently, because they like the maps, as you said, and not randomly playing them. I don't think I'll ever go back to rating and getting rates, it's way too flawed and causes too much drama. I guess people who want to play my maps will be the ones who play them :/

I know you don't like the rating system so you disable ratings with good reason

but because of the way hot maps works this results in your maps quickly falling and not so many people seeing them. I'm not suggesting you should enable rates I think what your doing is good sticking to a principle (if you disagree with something don't do it) but it should be taken into account when you consider how many people play your maps. I would probably disable my rates if it wasn't for this hot maps factor cause all they ever get is 4s anyway but because it helps people to see them I don't. At least you know most people playing your map are playing them because they think your a good author and not because of some arbitrary variable :)

As for cheez yes sometimes my sentences do that though there is a difference between something somewhat innovational and something the likes of which has never been seen before which this map lies between.

thanks, you noticed that it isn't only a race :D I didn't think anyone will notice because nobody plays my maps, so I didn't bother tagging it and I waited for someone like mcky or slick to figure it out because they play my maps, but glad it was someone else :)
