I'm freakin scared of Z-snapping. there's no way this would have been better if I had complete pixalized control.

all i can say use less c snaping, i find c snaping works beter for the background, like mixing ex gold plus empty space = light yellow, gold plus mines = orange, exc. z snapping is beter to make things pop out.

turns out slanted was rated before this.

my 5th rated map! I'm content now; the hard work has paid off, though ultimately it was a tribute to hr that I wanted noticed.

but I think that the rating should ultimately be based on how good the picture looks; and none of the good ones look good in full view, unless you stand a good 5 yards back.
And believe me, as much gold makes up this picture, this took many many hours due to excessive lagg.

They're easier to make
They don't take as much time
They only work with a few objects
The full view looks blocky (hence, the snapping)

Generally, I think without snap is much more artistic, but that's just IMO.
