I forgot

I think your maps have a ton of potential. You get how to use simple shapes to really add to the gameplay. Jamestown (or whatever that map is by you about 2 weeks ago) is a great example. I'm not trying to hound you about little things, but I think with a little polish you could really be a kick ass map maker

The thwump...

makes the end annoying, not fun. The map is too open to really give you a claustrophobia feel either way. I see what you are trying to do with it, but the way the laser is there at the end hounding you, along with usually one or two drones, waiting for, and then timing the jump, into the thwump part just doesn't work. As you can see from my demo it's doable, but very very annoying. The map is really flowy and fun up until that point.

Don't feel like you need to make your maps hard to be good, this is much better as an easy map (honestly, it's about medium difficulty imo)

About the gold, don't z snap it ever. Honestly it ruins the visual lines of the tiles. C snap rarely. I think if you did simple lines of gold there it pulls together the long lines of the tiles you have going and really adds to the appeal of the map.
that's the whole part of the "claustrophobia" thing. it closes you in. i actually (yeah, i'm evil) Z-snapped the gold.

Take the thwump out

and this map is a winner all over. Well, place your gold like you know what is going on (not randomly, or even psuedo-random, straight lines of gold are okay.) and this map is a winner. Really great gameplay up until the end. Oh, and this isn't agd because I forgot some gold.
