| Description | Simplistic style map, only one chain gunner you have to worry about, time is also an issue, don't let him get too far down or you can't complete. This is most certainly not for the weak hearted. This map is labeled difficult, you are warned. |

I do agree with looking at older maps though, because with this new system on NUMA it's tougher to find old maps. Even I can't see any maps past #50, now that's frustrating.

What is wrong with featuring new maps?
As I recall, many users were complaining about old maps getting featured. Now people are complaining about new maps getting featured..
And I thought Featured Maps was suppoused to provide a variety of maps. Not just old or just new maps.

People, after all,
CAN feature any map they'd like, BUT, I will agree, this is not meant to identify, "perfect maps". I look at the featured as a melting pot. We should take little nuances from the featured maps and use them to help us become better mapmakers. The reason some people are harping on featuring older maps is because those were the ones that basically came up with this stuff. I guarantee there is a map somewhere in this archive, that was made earlier, and has a similar gameplay fashion. I'm not saying mrgy05 stole it, but there is always an original.

Well, it is my first feature, I had no idea that age was part of the featuring criteria. Thanks for eduacating me, but you must know that I was never told not to feature new maps.

Featuring is not a badge assigned to the best maps, it is a tool with which to draw greater attention to maps which warrant it.
Whilst it was never the stated aim, my own personal view is that featured maps should be for forgotten gems from ye olde backlog - Everyone who checks the featured maps page also checks the hot maps pages daily/weekly/once in a blue moon, but they might never have seen maps which were made a few years ago, which could have a positive impact on their mapmaking/playing/general funtime abilities.

Basically, I don't like chainguns because their core gameplay mechanics are broken. When I was highscoring, chaingun levels really pissed me off since every now and then you'd be able to run through their bullets, adding a huge random element to your runs. I guess I just developed a subconscious hatred of them because of that, because now that I think about it they can be really fun if you're just playing a level.
