Don't run so far away from them so much. Also, using huge amounts of gold delay to wait until the rocket comes is cheap and makes the close call feel very artificial (that's not a good thing). It also increases the time it takes to load and the amount of lag. Try to avoid using launchpads as your method of propulsion. Try using trapdoor propulsion, bounceblock propulsion, or other methods. Also, before you started the DDA, you should've placed more enemies, because it's hard to make a DDA exciting with only one enemy, unless it's a KRADDA (Keep Rocket Alive Don't Do Anything). Unfortunately, if you add more enemies (specifically, rocket turrets, laser drones, chaingun drones, and gauss turrets) after you've started, it can affect the enemy lag time and screw up the DDA.
