hmm

here's a first impression: You've already got a great flair for tiles, but sometimes that means you're giving up flow and practical application of tiles for their aesthetic values... not good. Your object placement is better than many new authors and so is your sense of enemy work and except for the random jolts of gold right around where I died, there's no real clustering or anything like that. Most of this is pretty fun, especially some of the stuff with seeker drones. I think you should keep a chaingun well away from huge patches of gold like in the upper left area, and reduce the amount of switches you need to complete the level. Being simpler, the level is more fun and accessible to all types of players, all gold becomes less of a chore and completion becomes reasonably more interesting and enjoyable. You've almost got it down, your second map! I'm jealous.
