saying that lots of great maps are out there, but buried, kinda proves my point
point on feeding snipers has been taken into consideration, but i always believe in confronting them and outdoing them beyond any reasonable reason for sniping

im just going to say this one last time
the rating means very little to me, and i realize the map is still good even if people rate it poorly, wait, no, snipe the hell out of it, but that, one, yes, i want fair ratings, and two, i want people to see it, spread the joy so to speak, and THAT IS WHY I dislike what has happened to... 2 of my maps now

Awesome, awesome piece of work. 5/5. And yeah, Just ignore the snipers. Resubmitting and commenting on them only feeds their appetite. (if that makes sense) Just let it be. 3.5/5 is a total insult to this map...but it's not a BAD rating. Don't worry about it. And just cause a map isn't in the newest or the top rated doesn't mean it'll never be found. I'm sure there are plenty of maps out there that are potentially great..just buried.

ruining a rating makes it hella hard for a lot of people to find it...thats the only reason i care about the rating
without it, ppl wont hardly see my maps...

When I rated this, it officially went back up to a 5, and to the #1 map on NUMA! Congratulations!

So the map is ruined because not as many people played it? I can understand why you want ratings to stay fair, that's all well and good, but the map itself is still the same no matter what they rate it. That's all I was trying to get across, that's it.

First of all, once again, great job, 5/5 again. Second of all, I found it as I was searching through the N arts submitted in the past few days, and third of all, I would hate to see you leave NUMA because people are rating your maps poorly. You have some really good maps, and you should be proud of the fact that you make others happy instead of depending on ratings. I've been doing that a little and I feel much better. You should try it too. Anyways, once again, great job, possibly the best N art I've seen.

ill tell you why your still wrong

ruining a rating is ruining the map, because once it gets off the newest maps section, and if its not on the top rated, the chances of people even finding it become rather low
therefor ruining the map for lots of people, because so many of those people will never see it, even if they would like it a lot and help the rating

sniping as everybody seems to call it, ruins a map forever, people just dont see it, and therefor cant rate it to where it belongs...
now, please stop arguing with me, your wrong, its very simple

You seem to think that the merit of a map is determined by its rating. Just 'cause some morons come and rate it down, doesn't mean the map is any less great. How are snipers "ruining" the map? If you get pissed at them it only empowers them, just ignore the ratings.

and in just the minute ive been on this page it went down from a 5 to 4.5, i have rated a 5, however it is still 4.5.

whats the point of submitting something, when, assuming its good, your doing it mostly for feedback, and so other people can see it, not ruin it and degrade it

if that many people "snipe" a single map, then whats the point of submitting anything that is good, because it will never do well anyway

and by the way
the same thing happened to my other map, 20k leagues
it was rated 4 for a while in the n art section, and rated 3 for a bit too
its now rated...god only knows...
plz check it out, if you like this, you will like it too, its different, but still pretty good

it is really childish to quit submitting maps just because someone decided to snipe your map. i realize that you probably put alot of work in it and it is a very good map but no matter what, there is always going to be someone here on numa that will either snipe maps or thats just doesn't like the map as well as others do.

I rated the last one 5, and I'll do it again. I just don't see how it could get anything less. Personally I agree with you, many people on here are way too harsh, and despite what they say it's nothing to do with our 'inexperience'. Some people can never be satisfied.
